ABOUT US

The tRED Group (tRNA Epitranscriptome in Disease) is based at iBiMED, University of Aveiro. We investigate how tRNAs and their chemical modifications regulate gene expression and contribute to human disease. By combining molecular biology with transcriptomics, proteomics, and epitranscriptomics, we aim to uncover how disrupted tRNA regulation impacts neurological disorders, cancer, and infection. Our goal is to harness this knowledge to develop novel RNA-targeted therapeutic strategies.
